Ann Osborne Bebergal
Owner & Artistic Director
of ADA
Ann opened her dance studio
in Mt. Pleasant
in 1997. She began her formal training with Stanley Zompakos in downtown Charleston. She also studied with Robert Joffrey, Melissa Hayden, Nina Stroganova, among
others. She was a member of Charleston Civic Ballet for eight years and then
became principal dancer with Robert Ivey Ballet where she performed with the company for eleven years. During that time,
she performed at two World Fairs and toured Denmark, Russia and South America.
Ann was a ballet instructor
at Charleston Dance Studio for 20 years. She taught for the Mt. Pleasant Recreation Department, Dance Unlimited and
The McClellanville Arts Center. Besides her ballet performances, Ann has appeared in multiple musicals and theatre productions.
She is currently teaching at the after school program of Ashley Hall and First Scotts Presbyterian Kindergarten along with
teaching classical ballet at her own studio.
LARISA DAHABI
Founder and Artistic Director of Mt. Pleasant Performing Arts Company, resident dance company at ADA
Larisa
started her ballet training with Diana Turner Hauser at The Academy of Ballet Arts in New
Jersey. She also studied with School
of American Ballet in New York City
and danced with New Jersey Ballet Company. She has performed in ballets such
as Nutcracker, Carmina Burana, Graduation Ball, Donizetti, just to name a few. She toured many places here in the US
as well as abroad and has done musical theatre as well.
Larisa and her husband
with their three children relocated to the Charleston area 12 years ago where she opened her own dance studio Mt. Pleasant
School of Performing Arts. Five years ago, she founded the non profit dance company
MPPAC and has brought wonderful ballet performances to the low country with her dance troupe.
In 2009, she joined forces with Ann Osborne Bebergal and teaches classical ballet at Academy of Dance Arts. She directs and choreographs ballet performances with her dance company which resides at ADA.
CINDY BUNCE
Jazz, Tap & Lyrical Instructor
Cindy graduated from East
Carolina University with a BS
Degree in Education and a minor in Dance. Cindy has
danced with such greats as Savion Glover, Brenda Buffalino, "Buster" Brown and Ann Reinken. She owned and operated
Cindy’s School of Dance in Greenville, NC for six years. Then moved to Washington, DC where she was the Artistic Director of a performing dance company called Dance Theatre
Expressions for nine years. Now living in Charleston, SC she
is married and the mother of three children, Sam, Maggie & Jonah. Cindy has
been on staff at ADA for the past ten years.
STEPHANEY ROBINSON
NIA Instructor
Stephaney
is one of a handful of Black Belt Nia Trainers in the world, and South Carolina's only Nia Trainer. Completing her White
Belt training in 1996, she has been teaching Nia for over 14 years. She is founder of both Spirit Moves, and Nia Body Journeys,
a program for deepening your connection to your body through Nia. Stephaney has offered Nia Trainings worldwide, including
both Trinidad and Australia, as well as
the Continental U.S. She began in the fitness industry in 1983 and has over 25 years of experience in the fitness
and rehabilitation field. She has led classes and workshops at the Open
Center, Manhattan's
leading center for holistic learning and culture, as well as the Sophia Institute, a source and a beacon in
today’s world for profound transformation and unlimited spiritual growth. Focusing on The Heart of Nia, her classes
and trainings are designed to connect and expand the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Her
dedication as a Nia Trainer has led her to expand her growth through Kundalini Yoga, Continuum, and Breema. She is a member
of a magical performance troupe that spreads joy through extraordinary costume design, street performance,
theater and mystery locally and in New York. Her classes,

SHEILA R. LAWSON
Kindermusik Instructor
Sheila is the Director of Kindermusik of Charleston
and received her bachelor’s degree in music therapy from the University of Minnesota. She has had 12 years of experience as a therapist working primarily in psychiatric
treatment of adults and children prior to establishing Kindermusik of Charleston in 1987.
Over the past 24 years, she has served thousands of families in the Charleston
area. Kindermusik of Charleston hires only the most highly qualified teachers,
all of whom have music, music therapy and/or early childhood education bachelors or masters degrees. Programs for children ages 0-6 years are offered in Mt. Pleasant at the Academy of Dance
Arts and on Daniel Island
at Summit Place.
Additionally, programs are provided in area preschools within the preschool setting.

JOSEPH NGUYEN
Hip Hop Instructor
Joseph’s passion for dance shows in every move on the dance floor whether it is
classical ballet or hip hop. Joseph has been with Academy
of Dance Arts for the past year. Dance
just seems to run in his blood. His feet just never seem to stay still. We are so pleased to have him on staff as our Hip Hop instructor. Our students will be thrilled with his choreography and his newest hip hop moves. His energy will be contagious as he moves them around the dance floor.

THOMAS
MITCHUM
Musical
Theatre Instructor
Thomas
Mitchum will be joining the staff at the Academy of Dance Arts
as their Musical Theatre instructor. Thomas
has studied Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Musical Theater
for several years. He originally studied dance in high school and continued
on to The American Musical and Dramatic Academy
in New York City. After completion of his conservatory degree,
he studied at the New Dance Group in midtown Manhattan. He
has also performed in many Off-Broadway productions and was a founding member of the Keagan Theatre Company. Thomas hopes
to bring some of his New York flare to his home town here
in Mt Pleasant.
